A Welsh comedian couldn't go on radio, so he came up with the best excuse ever

We’re definitely using this next time we don’t want to do something.

LAST NIGHT, WALES beat Cyprus 1-0 in a Euro 2016 qualifier match.

And sure, Welsh people were only delighted.

Welsh comedian Elis James was among the Welsh supporters in attendance at the match and livetweeted the whole evening.

Heartwarming stuff. <3

Prior to Wales’ victory last night, it was announced that they had surpassed England in the FIFA World Rankings.

As such, a BBC Radio 4 producer decided to get in touch with Elis James to see if he would be willing to share his thoughts. You know, because he’s such an enthusiastic football fan.

But then James fobbed it off with the best (and most valid) excuse ever.

Can’t argue with that.

The interaction has since gone mega viral.

We don’t know about you, but we’re definitely using that excuse the next time we don’t want to do something.

A postman’s goodbye letter is going viral for being super sweet >

This guy’s Vine about people lying has turned into an unstoppable meme >
